The Fay Jones School of Architecture and Design has joined with the University of Arkansas Office for Diversity and Inclusion and with Places Journal, an internationally respected online journal of architecture, landscape architecture and urbanism, to facilitate six conversations in a fall lecture series, accessible fully online.
Oct. 5 — Sara Jensen Carr, assistant professor of architecture, urbanism and landscape, and program director of the Master of Design in Sustainable Urban Environments, both at Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts.
Oct. 12 — Mira Henry, co-principal of Current Interests, a Los Angeles based architectural design studio, and on the design faculty at Southern California Institute of Architecture.
Oct. 19 — Marion Weiss and Michael Manfredi, co-founders of Weiss/Manfredi Architecture/Landscape/Urbanism in New York City.
Oct. 26 — Lesley Lokko, dean of the Bernard and Anne Spitzer School of Architecture at The City College of New York.
Nov. 2 — Michelle Joan Wilkinson, curator at the Smithsonian Institution National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington, D.C.
Nov. 9 — Irene Cheng, associate professor of architecture at the California College of the Arts in Oakland.
All lectures are scheduled for 4:00 p.m. Central Time on Mondays. The lectures will be presented live online via Zoom Webinar. You must use a Zoom account (or create one) and register to attend. In the event that the Zoom client reaches capacity, overflow will be directed to a private YouTube livestream.
